Last week we had lunch with out-of-town friends. We hung out a lot in Little Rock the year that they lived there, then they moved away just shortly after we did. They were here in town for a family vacation, but took time to play at the park and have lunch with us! It was so nice to catch up, and the kids were happy to play together again. It was amazing to see how much the kids had all grown in one year.
A & C also finished their two weeks of swim lessons last Thursday. They both did great and had fun!
Then Lane was off last Friday so we decided to make a day-trip to Northwest Arkansas. A few summers ago we stopped at OBU to show the kids where I went to college, and we had been wanting to take them to the U of A. There is also a nice museum in Bentonville that we had never been to, so we thought we would spend some time on campus, eat lunch, then go to Crystal Bridges Museum. It was a memorable day!
Razorback Stadium
Lane would like to take the kids to a game soon! I think he really enjoyed showing them around!
Lane showing us his name in the Senior Walk:
Crosby spotted his name (as a last name) on a sidewalk. :)
Old Main
(oldest building on campus, opened for classes in 1875)
The kids also thought it was neat to see where Lane's Dad (their Bobba) went to law school!
And we found Bob's name:
After lunch we went to the museum. It is so nice!
And such a pretty setting, too.
Alexee posing and the boys being silly. :)
The still life studio was neat.
Crosby kept going back to this sculpture to see if it had moved!
Fun day!
