Crosby's Birthday Party

Yesterday it was finally Crosby's turn to have his birthday party, and I think he had a lot of fun!

The sign in front of the church showing guests where to go
We did very little decorating, but we had monkey invitations, brightly colored plates and napkins, a foam monkey center piece, lots of bananas and balloons.
The indoor playground connected to the party room--it was perfect for the kids. They played for a while, stopped briefly for cupcakes and juice and then played some more. They had tons of energy!
There's the birthday boy running by!

Crosby's little face was so red from running around all over the place.
We love this baby boy SOOOOO much!

Lane's parents came over to our house for a while after the party. Crosby skipped his nap to play with them. He was exhausted last night! We made a quick trip to Sonic around 4:30 and he fell asleep in the car.
This was our first attempt at a picture of C with his Grammy & Bobba! :) He did not want to hand over the balloons!
Later we asked him if he'd like to let the balloons fly up in the air. We made sure he understood that we couldn't get them back, but that they wouldn't last until tomorrow anyway. So he wanted to let them go out on the deck. We waited for just the right gust of wind...
up...up and...
...right into the tree across the fence! Oh well, they were fun to watch for just a few seconds!
Tomorrow is C's actual birthday. I asked him what he would like to do and he said he'd like to go see a real firetruck and go to the park. I wish I'd tried to arrange for a fire station tour for his birthday--I think they do those?? It's probably a little late to try to set that up, but if the weather is nice we'll try to go to the park to play. We decided to wait and do his Purple Cow birthday dinner next weekend.

Spring Break in Hot Springs

Lane's parents came over today and brought their camera with pictures they'd made of Rhett's and Alexee's visits this week. I was so happy to have some photos of the fun the kids had there! Thank you, Bob and Rose Mary!

I think she'd been into Grammy's make-up here. :)
Photos from Mid-America Museum, which the kids love!
Bobba & Grammy bought Alexee a hula-hoop--she really got the hang of it!
They also bought her this giant stuffed snake.
Even though it's just a toy, it kind-of gives me the creeps! Ha!
:) She looks so grown up in this picture to me.

On Friday Lane, Alexee and Rhett went back to Hot Springs. L played golf with his dad and brother then came home that evening, but R & A spent the night and rode over with them to Crosby's birthday party this afternoon. They took the kids to Cracker Barrel last night for dinner.
They also made a second trip to the museum.
Their cousin, Katie, was sweet to spend the day with them! They've always adored her!
How can Katie be this grown up!? She was younger than Crosby when I first met her! Yet another reminder that time just goes too fast.
More fun memories made!
