A Special Weekend: Birthday & Baptism

The last weekend of August was really special for us.  Lane's parents came up on Friday.  Saturday we celebrated L's birthday with lunch at The Landing, cake and ice cream and the first Razorbacks game of the season on TV.
Happy Birthday, Lane!
Back in June, Alexee told us the wonderful news that she would like to be baptized.  We talked a lot about what baptism represents, and on June 22, 2014 she prayed to ask Jesus into her heart.  What an amazing blessing to get to see her accept Christ and grow in Him!

Opening her baptism card gift from Grammy & Bobba on Saturday evening:
Sunday morning, August 31st (Lane's actual birthday) we all drove to church in Flippin.  Alexee suggested that Bro. Steve baptize her at Mo & Grandad's church--I loved that she wanted to do that.  Bro. Steve actually baptized me a long time ago, too. (September 1986)
Such a wonderful day.
Alexee is very blessed to have such wonderful Grandparents that love her so much!  I know they have prayed many prayers for her.

And her Great-Grandparents love her so much too!  Such an honor to get to share this day with so many loved ones.  (The Communion table behind them looked so pretty.  It was really neat that she also got to take her first Communion on the day she was baptized.)
So glad that Uncle Mario, Aunt Kala, Jaiden & Jeryn came to celebrate with us!

Rejoicing in how God is working in her life!
After church we all went out for brunch...great meal and great to be together!  So thankful.
and Happy Birthday, Lane!  We love you!
What a great day.  God is good.
