Alexee's 5th birthday, 2-2-12, in pictures:
***
7:30 a.m.
chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast

9:15 a.m.
Stopped by the church to quickly take a few birthday pictures by the rock wall (see previous post). Crosby dropped (threw?) his truck in the pool, so Alexee went to rescue it.

9:50 a.m.
5 year check up with Dr. B
weight-44# (54th percentile)
height-44 1/4" (90th percentile)
no shots due today--thankful for a healthy girl!

10:30 a.m.
Fresh Market to pick up something for dinner
Let Alexee choose a bouquet for her birthday

She wanted to put them on the dresser in her room. :)

11:15 a.m.
Hurried home for lunch then had to put Crosby down for an early nap (he'd been up since 5:30a) so we could all three go to the school to sub in Rhett's classroom at 1:00.
11:45 a.m.
Woke Crosby up from his short nap because it was time to leave for R's school. I always hate to have to wake the kids up early from naps.
1:00 p.m.
Grammy & Bobba arrived with birthday gifts! Alexee was excited to see them! It was fun having them visit on her special day.

One of the gifts from Grammy & Bobba--a sweet "5" figurine that we put in her curio cabinet.

3:30 p.m.
First swim lesson of the season.
For now, they are taking a 30 minute lesson together. Rhett has been swimming for a while, but needs to work on strokes. Alexee is not swimming at all, but has really overcome her fear of the water so I'm hopeful that she will learn very quickly. Rhett will likely move up to a different class soon and Alexee will move into a group lesson. Crosby will probably start group lessons then, too. He really wanted to get into the pool this time!

4:15 p.m.
Dropped Grammy, Bobba & the boys off at the house then took Alexee to her 4:30 hair cut appointment. It was nice to sit down for just a few minutes! Wondering why on earth I booked so many things on the same day.

Her hair looked pretty and healthy after a good trim.

5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Back home. Made dinner. Grammy gave A & C their baths, and we hung out for a while waiting for Lane to get home. But then L called and said he had a new patient come in at check-out time and wouldn't get to leave for probably an hour so Bob and Rose Mary left and the kids went to bed.

Goodness I look rough--I was worn out--but wanted to have my picture made with A on her big day!

Rhett got his tripod out to make a few pictures too. The next few were made with his camera--thanks, Rhett!
:)
(Lots of tattoos--birthday gift from her friend, Natalie.)

Too bad Crosby was already in bed when this was made.

I thought it was sweet of R to want to take A's picture. He asked her to go stand by the fireplace. (This is one of my favorite gowns of hers--she got it at Disney World last spring and has worn it at least 1,000 times!)
What a precious blessing you are, Alexandra Reese!
Hope you had a wonderful day!
