Back yard before

Dirt work...The week before Halloween 2015.  They hit solid rock about 4' down.  At this point we were wondering what on earth we were thinking!

Steel phase.  It kept raining and filling the deep end with water.  It was a muddy MESS for a long time.  We did not want to look out the window or go in the back yard unless we had to.  They poured the concrete shell the first week of December 2015 (not pictured).  We were out of town then, so it was great to come home and see a big step completed.

Coping and rock wall...Started late March 2016.

Pavers...March-April, I think.  It took a while, but we loved how they looked when they were done!

Excited to have another step completed.

Hot summer day before plaster...wishing this was full of water!

July 13

Exciting day--plaster company here from St. Louis!  Next step is to fill with water!

 Installing lights and watching the water level (slowly) rise!

Finally time to fill.  

Grammy & Bobba were here that weekend and saw the kids (and Bogart) take the first swim.  The kids loved it.  (Bogart did not.)  :) 

FIRST JUMP!  JULY 16!!

So happy to be done and finally feeling like this might not have been a big mistake!  Ha!  Looks like the kids are going to enjoy it!!
