Christmas in Hot Springs

We had a great time in Hot Springs with Lane's family. Wednesday night we took the kids to Garvan Gardens to see the beautiful Christmas lights.
This was the tree in the lobby
The koi pond
I'm so glad it wasn't terribly cold during our visit.
These chandeliers were SO neat!

The kids liked the toy train!

Alexee had fun making these earlier this week. They smell so good!

Phone Photos #15

I did a phone post not long ago, but I needed to upload my phone pictures from Garvan Gardens and had a few others that I didn't want to forget about...

Lane sent me this from Kansas City because he knew Alexee would love it!
Rhett walking in from carpool line carrying his sleeping bag, Pillow Pet, backpack, blanket and a stuffed animal. This was all for a special reading day when the kids got to wear their PJs to school (the day before Christmas break). He thought it sounded fun, but he later told me it was "a nightmare" having to carry all that stuff--ha ha!
Santa was helping with carpool that day! After school I took all of them to the store with me for a few things for our Sunday dinner with my family. Rhett and Alexee both wanted to ride on the bottom part of the cart. I love the way Alexee draws people! :) They're so cute.Crosby's teachers helped him make this at MDO--love it and will treasure it!Crosby playing football on a wild hair dayMaking box-space-ships. So much more fun than "real" toys.Cookie, our Elf on the Shelf, has been leaving clues each morning to help the kids find him. Since Rhett was in Hot Springs with Grammy & Bobba on this particular morning, Alexee found Cookie by herself. We took a picture to show Rhett later. Cookie turned the Santa painting upside-down and hid in the fan on top of the armoire.Crosby used one of our clove-covered oranges as a basketball. I found it in the living room with these others. :)Alexee drew this picture of Hundley from Curious George. She thought it was funny to draw him arms, in addition to his four legs. I like how she did the legs too.

Tooth #5 and Garvan Gardens

We spent the day in Hot Springs today with Lane's family. Rhett went Monday evening, so he was able to spend a little extra time with Grammy & Bobba before we arrived. They went to Mid-America Museum, ate at Purple Cow and wrapped Christmas gifts. This afternoon Rhett told Bobba he needed him to pull his tooth (bottom left of center), and Bobba said, "Okay, let's go." They were in the bathroom for a few minutes then Rhett came back out holding a tooth. This evening we went to Garvan Woodland Gardens to see the Christmas lights. It looked so pretty! I'll post more pictures soon. Unfortunately I had camera battery issues (again), so most of my pictures are made with my phone. It was a fun evening, and it wasn't really even cold. The kids took their jackets off after a while because they were running so much they got warm.

A New Dress

For Christmas my parents gave Alexee a new Sleeping Beauty dress since her old one was missing a sleeve and the hem. At first she didn't want me to make her picture today, but soon she had me laughing with her poses!

She was hiding her face from me so I said, "Daddy's home!", and this is the expression I got! I think this was the turning point in her attitude toward the photos.
I think her curls are so sweet. :)
We love her personality! She keeps us entertained!
This one cracks me UP!
