Museum of Discovery

Last Saturday morning we decided to go to the recently-renovated Museum of Discovery (an idea that we shared with MANY other people).  It was neat, but too crowded to be able to relax and look at things.  I just counted kids repeatedly.

Happy that Lane could go with us.

Rhett liked the bed of nails.

Alexee & Crosby liked the insect area.  The Madagascar Cockroaches were a little gross!

Monday afternoon the kids wanted to bake something out of our Kids Baking cookbook.  Heather gave us this book a long time ago, and it's so cute.  They agreed on a chocolate chip cookie cake with whipped cream "icing", topped with strawberries.

After they ate a slice of cookie cake, we went to the pool so that Rhett could swim some laps.  We've been enjoying some record temps here...my car said 111 degrees late that afternoon when we left the pool!
