We celebrated Christmas a few days early with Lane's parents! They met us at church last Sunday, then we went out for a great lunch at Local Lime. We came back to our house to open gifts and play for a while before going to the Capitol Building together to look at the lights.
The kids were super excited about their gifts from Grammy & Bobba!
We're so thankful for the blessing of family.
One of Crosby's gifts was a Lego fire truck, which he loved! It took a long time to put it together!
We also celebrated a belated birthday with Bob! We had brownies and ice cream instead of birthday cake, and the kids helped him blow out the candle. :) Happy Birthday, Bobba!
We always have fun taking our annual trip to the Capitol--so glad L's parents joined us this year!

Bob and Rose Mary left after our visit to the Capitol, but we decided to stop by the Capital Hotel before going home. We'd heard that their lobby was beautiful. It was chosen by Forbes Travel Guide as one of the "10 Most Dazzling Trees" in the Country! I'm so glad we went--it did not disappoint!
The kids liked the hot chocolate bar that was set up in the lobby.

A sweet neighbor brought me this beautiful, red amaryllis. We enjoyed watching it bloom before Christmas.
