Playgrounds and Presidents

It was a four-day weekend here due to a teacher work day on Friday and parent/teacher conferences (Presidents Day) on Monday.  Friday night Alexee had her first friend sleepover--she was SO excited! They were super sweet and so good.  I never even asked them to brush their teeth or get in bed...they just did both on their own.  I went up to check on them around 8:45 and they were in their sleeping bags watching The Little Mermaid.  They also played dress up, played with Joey the guinea pig a lot and had a tea party with dolls.  I think they had fun!  Rhett had a great time spending the night with our neighbor too.  He learned to make music videos with an app that Nate has on his phone, so Rhett and Alexee had been making a lot of those this weekend.

On Saturday, Crosby had fun at an indoor playground birthday party for his friends Cole and Reid.  I thought he looked cute in his party hat.  :)  I'm so glad he has these little friends his age to play with!

We got outside and enjoyed the sunshine and beautiful weather Sunday after C's nap.  We went to the church playground, then they rode their scooters in the parking lot and ran around in the sand at the volleyball area.  They didn't want to leave.

That night they were all going to have a sleepover in their sleeping bags in Rhett's room.  Crosby decided later that he would be more comfortable in his own bed, but he had fun hanging out with them for a while.  Here they are all cozy playing games:

Monday was cool and rainy so we had to stay inside.  That morning we made George Washington crafts for Presidents Day.  It's messy, but they always LOVE to get out the paints.

Rhett helped Crosby write a sentence on his.  Alexee is learning to sound out words:  "George married Martha and was our first president."  :)
