Lane looking for R's name on the list!Rhett's school had an ice cream social for the new students. It was a chance to go and find out who his teacher is and who is in his class. We only recognized one girl on the list (from pre-school), but his teacher is young and seems like she will be great. Rhett got shy all of a sudden and wouldn't say two words to her when we went to her table to say hello. He talks all day every day, so I'm not sure what happened there. Maybe he was just overwhelmed. Or hot--it was an outdoor event and it was pretty humid. We didn't stay long because we'd told him we would take him to dinner at the restaurant of his choice, so he was more excited about that. He wanted to go somewhere with a gumball machine--that is his current obsession (vending machines of all kinds). We enjoyed going to dinner with our sweet boy. He's growing up waaaay too fast though. It seems like we were just at this same restaurant celebrating his first birthday.
Meeting his new teacher! She said her room is decorated in a jungle theme--sounds like fun!

So excited for Rhett and for you and Lane. A whole new phase of your life is beginning and I have a stinkin' suspicion that Rhett will make it so fun and interesting! He will have lots to teach the other kids, I'm sure. He is SO smart!
It's so fun that he wanted to pick a restaurant based off of the availability of gumballs.

Rhett will be helping the teacher teach class before the year is over...that's my prediction!!
That would be exciting, meeting his teacher for the first time. My kids know their teachers from me dragging them to school, so Logan is just already familiar with Mrs. Waltrip. I just hope he doesn't call her "Sayde's Mom" instead of Mrs. Waltrip!
