A beautiful wedding

This evening was Rhett's kindergarten teacher's wedding. It was all so pretty...every detail was just perfect. Miss J (now Mrs. H) looked absolutely beautiful--she looked like she'd just stepped out of a bridal magazine. She asked several of her former students to sing in a children's choir at the ceremony, and Rhett was honored to be a part of it.

I thought our little guy looked so handsome!
Lane dropped the two of us off early for rehearsal, then came home to get A & C settled with Miss Chloe before coming back for the wedding.
It took place on the terrace of the country club. It was a perfect, fall evening (a little cool and windy!), and the golf course made such a nice background.
The kids practicing their song once before the ceremony--they did great! It was fun to see them all dressed up.
Instead of a unity candle, they had two vases of sand, one that said Will and one that said Micah. During the ceremony they poured the sand into the large jar with their 'H' monogram. The pastor said that just as the grains of sand could never be separated, neither could they. I thought it was neat, and I had not see that done before.

She thought of every tiny detail. After dress rehearsal, the kids had about 45 minutes until ceremony time. There was a room just for them where she had tables with coloring books and colors. The coloring books were even personalized--I should have taken a picture. There was a wedding word search, a coloring page with a picture of her in her wedding dress, etc. She is so amazing with kids--they all love her. She makes them all feel so special and she's such a caring, fun person.
R acting goofy
In the "waiting room"--Rhett was trying to frown for some reason.
The wind had picked up by this time--my hair was swirling above my head.
The kids walked in and took their places.
The girls all walked slowly and were very serious.
The boys were giggling as they walked/tried not to run. :)
Lovely group of bridesmaids
I loved their bouquets
Cute little boy and girl...and Miss J's dog! :)
Bride & Groom
Lilly, Jed & Rhett
I was a little surprised at how much Rhett got into the dancing at the reception! Who knew he could dance!? He didn't get it from me!
Love this one!
I think Jed might have been teaching him something new here.

Congratulations to Micah & Will.
We're so happy for you!

You can bet that Jed was showing him some moves. Just a quick glance at the groom and he looks like Jerry Dean!
