Various things post

Yesterday Lane's parents were here for the day, which was great. Lane's Mom watched R & A while Crosby and I went out for a quick lunch with Lane. Then I hurried home, fed Crosby and then took Rhett out for a little date. We went out for a purple milkshake (his idea) and then went to the toy store to pick out a new toy with some of his birthday money. Here he is using his quarters at the gumball machine. The Easter special:
He chose a toy gun at the store--he said he'd been wanting one ever since he got his handcuffs. He slept with it in the bed with him last night.
Yesterday was also a big day for Crosby...TWO WEEKS OLD already! The first few weeks are always such a blur with a new baby, but it's hard to believe we've already been home two weeks. He's doing great--a super sweet, cuddly baby!

This is how C likes to sleep--curled up in a ball against your chest. He'll sleep for hours this way. Bobba held him this way while Lane and I went to the Easter play at our church last night.
The program was great. It's honestly been difficult to slow down this week to think about the meaning of Easter, so it was nice to have an hour to go to the program and worship last night. Tim ended the program by reminding everyone that if the story ended at the cross, there would be no hope. However, it doesn't end there...it ends at the empty tomb. I'm looking forward to Sunday when we celebrate the RISEN Savior!
This morning our neighbor came over to play with Rhett. They found a caterpillar on the back deck and put him in a Cool Whip container with holes in the top for observation.
They also had a great time having water balloon fights. It seemed too cold to me, but they didn't seem to notice. They were soaked and loved it. Alexee joined right in, of course.

I love the name of this post. Does Crosby have a bit of red hair? What a sweetie pouched on Bobba.
